Upcoming Trade Shows Nurnberg, Germany for Heating
IFH - INTHERM 2026, Nurnberg, Germany
14 - 17 Apr 2026
What puts Nuremberg’s heating industry on the map is Chillventa – an exhibition of international importance that drives innovations across refrigeration, insulation technologies, C&I automation, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pumps. Renowned worldwide for its comprehensive product overview and focus on groundbreaking technologies, Chillventa attracts experts, key industry players, and associations, making it an indispensable event for anyone involved in the sector. The 2024 edition promises to be an unmissable opportunity to stay abreast of the latest trends and shape the defining issues of the future. Many of the conversations surrounding heating will focus on the potential of heat pumps as eco-friendly solutions.
One notable participant at Chillventa 2024 is Heaten, a Norway-based company with a robust 10-year research and development history in industrial very high-temperature heat pumps (VHTHP). Heaten’s expertise lies in transforming waste heat into reusable process heat up to 200˚C, which reduces the use of fossil fuels for heating, contributes significantly to energy efficiency and reduces CO2 emissions. The technology, embodied in the HeatBooster heat pump, holds immense potential for various industries, including food, plastic molding, pulp and paper, breweries and drying processes. Moreover, the application extends to emerging markets like hydrogen production, carbon capture technologies and harnessing waste heat from data centers.
Heaten’s VHTHPs, ranging from 1 to 6 MW, are equipped with advanced piston technology, which surpasses competitors in flexibility and the ability to operate at higher temperatures. The presentation at Chillventa will delve into recent industrial-scale performance tests, providing a techno-economic assessment for industrial customers. The focus will be on showcasing the HeatBooster’s integration at process temperatures up to 200 °C, emphasizing cost-effectiveness and smart system integration. The second part of the presentation will explore pathways to successful system integration in various industries with special attention to ""brown field"" integration into existing low-pressure steam systems.
