Upcoming Trade Shows Munich, Germany for Graphic Design
CCE International 2025, Munich, Germany
11 - 13 Mar 2025
Munich has cultivated a thriving graphic design industry. After all, the city has been christened the Design Capital of Germany. Home to some of the best German designers, Munich is a melting pot where traditional craftsmanship meets cutting-edge technology. The products and concepts that come from Munich are singular and resonate on a global scale. Every year, Munich hosts the Munich Creative Business Week (MCBW), a gathering that draws the biggest names in design, along with pioneers and artists. This event serves as a platform for a series of talks and exhibitions, showcasing the latest trends and fostering dialogue among industry leaders.
A cornerstone of Munich’s design scene is Die Neue Sammlung, the world’s first design museum. Founded in 1925 and currently directed by Dr. Angelika Nollert, the museum boasts one of the most extensive collections of product and industrial design, graphic design, and ceramics. The Neue Sammlung is a trailblazer in elevating everyday industrial objects to “museum status,” turning them into subjects of academic research and public fascination. Housed within the Pinakothek der Moderne since 2002, the museum features over 100,000 pieces, ranging from motorbikes and cars to furniture and electronics. Its collection includes works by legendary designers like Colani, Zaha Hadid, and Stefan Wewerka, as well as brands such as Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Ikea.
Munich’s design landscape is dotted with influential figures who prefer the art of understatement. Ingo Maurer, celebrated for his light sculptures, and Konstantin Grcic, one of the most sought-after designers globally, thrive in Munich’s relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere. The city's strategic location, with Munich Airport providing direct flights to numerous creative hubs worldwide, enhances its appeal as a base for international collaboration. Other notable designers such as Peter Neumann, Thorsten Franck, Clemens Weisshaar, and Stefan Diez contribute to Munich's creative ecosystem.
