Since its inception in 1974, INHORGENTA has established itself as the undeniable showcase for timepieces, jewelry and luxury items, earning itself a stellar reputation across Europe, and putting the jewelry industry in Munich on the map. The trade fair has become the ultimate source of inspiration and expertise in the industry, setting trends for the year ahead and providing a platform for brands to enhance their visibility. Against the backdrop of a robust economic environment, the German watch and jewelry trade has experienced continued growth. Stephan Lindner, President of BVJ, the German Jewelers’ Trade Association, reported sales of EUR 5.32 billion, marking a slight increase of 0.3 percent. High-quality genuine jewelry has been a significant contributor to this success, reflecting the enduring appeal of craftsmanship and luxury. Anja Heiden, CEO Jewellery Division at Wempe, emphasized the upward trajectory of INHORGENTA over the past four years, underscoring its status as Europe’s leading trade fair. With its reputation as a vital hub for industry networking and knowledge exchange, INHORGENTA continues to elevate the entire sector. Investments in rejuvenating the event’s spirit and aesthetics have yielded remarkable results, evident in the substantial growth witnessed at INHORGENTA 2024. The number of exhibitors marked a solid 9% increase from the previous year, now reaching 870 exhibitors. The level of internationalization has also increased to 37 countries. It’s proof that INHORGENTA is a global event. Half the exhibitors travel from abroad. Attendance has also risen with 25,000 visitors from 90 countries. There’s been notable increases in visitors from the Czech Republic, Switzerland, China, France, the Netherlands and Norway. This significant uptick in both exhibitors and visitors confirms that the event’s new direction has been the right call for organisers and sets the stage for further international expansion in 2025.
